The business was originally founded by Mr Richard Phillips at Wight Farm, Binstead, Isle of Wight some 40 years ago, specialising in quality smoked foods for local hotels, restaurants and eventually expanding into export market.

After the retirement of Mr Phillips the business declined and ceased active trading. The current owners, Jeff and Carole Dove, bought the assets and goodwill in 1992 and re-opened at the original premises.
